What to Pack

Packing is a challenge when it can go from blazing hot to snowstorm in the same week. We are here to help you pack what you need and nothing more.

Things to Bring

  • Warm sleeping bag (rated 0 or -20)

  • Sleeping Pad (backpacker style)

  • Warm Coat

  • Sweater or Sweatshirt

  • Slicker (or rain gear)

  • Riding boots with minimum 1/2” heel

  • Comfortable “camp” shoes

  • Wash cloth or small towel

  • Gloves

  • Long sleeve shirts

  • Jeans or riding pants

  • Wide-brimmed hat

  • Sunglasses

  • Sunscreen

  • Electrolyte supplement or drink powder

  • Lip balm

  • Insect repellent

  • Flashlight

  • Camera & batteries

  • Water bottle, canteen, or Camelbak

  • 10x10 plastic tarp

  • Personal toiletries

  • Bathing suit

  • Undergarments

  • Socks

  • A clean outfit for the last night’s Banquet Dinner

Add for May, September, or October

  • Make sure your sleeping bag is rated to -20

  • Warm Muck Boots (or Rubber overboots)

  • Warm gloves

  • Rubber gloves

  • Extra warm sweater

  • Long underwear

  • A scarf

  • A warm hat

  • Extra sets of warm socks
